Meet The Doctors

Learn Who We Are

  • Dr. George D. Shida, O.D.
    Optometric Physician

    Dr. George Shida graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Pre-Med Biology. He played football, lettering for three years. Dr. Shida received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1980 from the University of Alabama/Medical Center at Birmingham. He began his private practice career in 1981 in the Atlanta area, where he continues to practice. His specialty is family and medical eyecare, pre and post operative surgical care, as well as eyeglasses

    Meha Trivedi

    Dr. Trivedi is a native of the Atlanta area. She received her Bachelors Degree in Microbiology from the University of Georgia and then went on to earn her Doctorate in Optometry at Southern College of Optometry. During optometry school, Dr. Trivedi was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and completed multiple humanitarian missions through SVOSH in Mexico and Central America. After optometry school, she went on to complete an Ocular Disease and Primary Care Residency at the Veterans Affair of Central California.

    In addition to prescribing glasses and contacts lenses, Dr. Trivedi specializes in the management and treatment of diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration and the co-management of cataracts and LASIK. Dr. Trivedi also has a special interest in the treatment of ocular injuries, eye infections, dry eye syndrome, computer vision syndrome, multifocal contact lenses and corneal refractive therapy for myopia control (CRT).

    When not practicing she loves watching football, traveling, cooking and most importantly eating!
