Dr. George D. Shida, O.D. | Optometric Physician -
Meet Dr. George Shida. Dr. Shida graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Pre-Med Biology. In 1980, Dr. Shida obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama/Medical Center at Birmingham. The following year, Dr. Shida established his private practice career, serving the Atlanta area.
In addition to prescribing eyeglasses, Dr. Shida practices family and medical eye care. He also specializes in pre and post-operative surgical care, as well as treating keratoconus. One of Dr. Shida’s specialties is Corneal Refractive Therapy, or more commonly known as Ortho-K. A process that uses gas permeable contact lenses that reshape corneas temporarily to provide days of clear vision at a time.
Dr. Shida is a former college football player from the University of Maryland, lettering for 3 years. His passion for football continues by his support for his favorite NFL football team, the Atlanta Falcons. When Dr. Shida isn’t practicing, one of his favorite things to do is to spend quality time with his family and grandchildren.

Dr. Clare Masson
Dr. Masson, having grown up as the daughter of an optometrist, has years of experience working in the optometric field. She graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in Chemistry. She completed her Doctorate of Optometry in Phoenix, Arizona at Midwestern University and earned membership into Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. While in optometry school, she was president of Lions Club, participated in mission trips to Mexico, and volunteered locally at events such as the Special Olympics. Before moving to the Atlanta area, Dr. Masson had the opportunity to work alongside her father in private practice for four years.
In addition to prescribing glasses and contacts, Dr. Masson treats and manages diseases such as diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, dry eye and cataracts. She also co-manages LASIK and cataract surgery. Dr. Masson has a special interest in pediatric vision care.
When not practicing optometry, Dr. Masson loves to be outdoors with her husband and son. She enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing, jogging and boating. She also loves spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Aldina Jakupovic, OD
Dr. Jakupovic, after starting out as an optometric technician, has years of experience in the Optometric world. She majored in Biology while attending Georgia State University. Dr. Jakupovic received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Optometry in 2017. While in optometry school, she was inducted in the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society and received clinical honors in primary eye care. She completed her internship training at the Birmingham VA in Birmingham, AL, Gainesville Eye Associates in Gainesville, GA, and Georgia Eye Partners in Atlanta, GA.
In addition to providing complete ocular health examinations and contact lens fittings, Dr. Jakupovic manages a wide variety of ocular diseases including uveitis, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and keratoconus. Dr. Jakupovic has a special interest in specialty contact lens fittings for Keratoconus and corneal transplant patients.
In her free time, Dr. Jakupovic loves to spend time with her husband and family. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and swimming.

Dr. Karoline Stadelmann
Dr. Karoline Stadelmann grew up in Cape Coral, Florida. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Florida. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. During optometry school, she received honors in multiple clinical rotations. Dr. Karoline Stadelmann completed clinical externships at Boston Medical Center, Perkins School for the Blind, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Omni Eye Services of Atlanta, the VA Outpatient Clinic in Lowell, Massachusetts, and East Boston Community Health Center.
In addition to providing comprehensive eye care, Dr. Karoline Stadelmann treats and manages a wide array of ocular diseases. She also provides pre and post-operative surgical care. Dr. Karoline Stadelmann has a special interest in managing dry eye disease.
She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, Georgia Optometric Association, and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Karoline Stadelmann likes to travel, cook, hike, watch Florida Gators football, and attend Atlanta sporting events.
