Dr. George Shida graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Pre-Med Biology. He played football, lettering for three years. Dr. Shida received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1980 from the University of Alabama/Medical Center at Birmingham. He began his private practice career in 1981 in the Atlanta area, where he continues to practice. His specialty is family and medical eyecare, pre and post operative surgical care, as well as eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Dr. Shida is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Georgia Optometric Association, and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Asssociation.
Dr. Shida and his wife, Patricia, have four children and for leisure he enjoys golf, boating and spending time with his family.
Dr. Laura Rayne grew up in Alpharetta, GA and then attended The University of Georgia, earning bachelor of science degrees in Biology and Psychology. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the UAB School of Optometry, graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the Dean’s Award. Dr. Rayne completed her residency in ocular disease in Louisville, KY before moving back to her hometown of Atlanta to practice.
Dr. Rayne specializes in family and medical eye care, including glaucoma treatment and pre and post-op management of ocular surgery. She also specializes in challenging contact lens fits, including fitting custom contact lenses for post-surgery patients and patients with diseased or irregular corneas.
Dr. Rayne is a member of the American Optometric Association, Georgia Optometric Association and the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association and is board certified by the American Board of Optometry. In her free time, Dr. Rayne enjoys painting, traveling and spending time with her husband Mitch.
Dr. Sally Dillehay received her Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science in Physiological Optics Summa Cum Laude and was the valedictorian at The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She also holds a Doctor of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University. She began her career at a multidisciplinary vision rehabilitation practice in Columbus, Ohio, and then joined the faculty of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. She moved to Georgia and joined CIBA Vision as Director of Academic Development and Medical Affairs. She currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Visioneering Technologies, Incorporated, located in Alpharetta GA.
Dr. Dillehay is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the Georgia Optometric Association. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a Diplomate in its Cornea Contact Lens and Refractive Technologies Section, a distinction held by less than 150 eye care professionals worldwide. She received the Eminent Service Award from the American Academy of Optometry in 2003 and the Vision Monday Most Influential Women in Vision Award (Executive Category) in 2015. She has published extensively in the field of contact lenses as well as graduate professional education.
Dr. Dillehay specializes in contact lenses and interventions for myopic progression. Dr. Dillehay and her husband have two children, and she enjoys gardening and traveling.
