Flex Spending Accounts (FSA) are special savings accounts that allow employees to set aside funds to pay for medical expenses. Administrated by your employer, pre-tax funds are withdrawn from your paycheck and deposited into the savings account. Reimbursement is obtained upon presenting receipts for qualifying expenses. Funds that remain in your FSA account at the end of the year are lost, so be sure you use these funds before New Year's Day arrives.
