What to Expect From Pre- and Post-LASIK Care

Our very own in-house optometrist, Dr. Shida, can provide the pre- and post-LASIK care you need for the best results. We'll begin with a thorough evaluation and eye exam here in our office, where we'll work to determine whether or not you're a viable candidate for the procedure. Ideally, LASIK candidates will:

  • Have generally healthy eyes
  • Have a prescription that's been stable for at least a year
  • Have pupils that are not too big
  • Have corneas with a healthy thickness

We're happy to provide your evaluation with our Sandy Springs optometrist at no charge. From there, assuming you are indeed a viable candidate for the procedure, we'll refer you to our trusted local LASIK surgery center.

Following your LASIK procedure, you can also rely on our optometry team to provide you with the highest level of post-operative care. Specifically, our optometrist can take the time to evaluate your healing, check your progress, and ensure that you experience the best possible results in your vision improvement. Typically, this is done in the form of several appointments scheduled over the course of a year after your procedure.
